Side-tracked

My great-nephews Quillow was finished about 3 weeks before Christmas, and I decided to send it out to a local Long Arm service as I wanted the quilt to be tough and stand up to wear and tear and washing!
It was  finally ready to be picked up 4 days ago, but I was in for a big disappointment when I got it home.
The quilt had not been placed on the frame properly, so the design was not centred. The tension was incorrect so there were puckers through the quilt. The size of the stitching was large, and the design was not the one chosen, nor did it suit the quilt! I wanted a fairly heavily quilted look  and was given a very open pantograph design. Even the colour of quilting thread was not well selected.

I decided not to return the quilt to be fixed, as it is already past due for his January First birthday.
I just won't return to that fabric shop!
The larger stitches proved a blessing as I unpicked it all fairly quickly.
The backing fabric has several different size circles on it, so am quilting back to front following the edges of the circles. It is about 1/3rd of the way through now, really want it to be complete and sent West by the end of this month!
Photos later..
